About Spring Fling Golfing, Inc.

Spring Fling Golfing, Inc. began as a golf outing held in honor of Greg Georgic’s birthday. After two years, Eric Hauser recognized an opportunity to turn the event into something more meaningful: a charitable effort dedicated to helping members of the workers’ compensation community during times of hardship.

With the help of David Barnhart, Charles Franklin, and Brett Miller, the outing evolved into a mission-driven organization focused on supporting families and individuals facing unexpected life events, financial difficulty, and loss. The first beneficiary was the family of Ken P., who passed away from cystic fibrosis and left behind an infant son. In 2006, the first official outing raised approximately $4,500, all of which went directly to support his family.

Over the past 20 years, Spring Fling Golfing, Inc. has grown into a respected charitable organization in Central Ohio. In 2016, the organization was officially incorporated with the purpose of organizing and conducting an annual golf outing to fund scholarships for dependents of permanently disabled and deceased workers, as well as to support other identified needs within the Ohio workers’ compensation community.

Today, Spring Fling Golfing remains committed to honoring that mission through generosity, community support, and lasting impact. Our outing is held every year on the second Friday of June, and we are proud to have the continued support of the workers’ compensation community.

Spring Fling Golfing, Inc. is led by a dedicated Board of Directors. Please feel free to reach out to any board member directly, or contact us through the Spring Fling email with any questions, concerns, or opportunities to partner with us.
